Patricia joined Vodafone Ghana as the Chief Technology Officer in January 2011, having previously worked for 14 years in Technology and IT at Tigo Ghana. Patricia has extensive management and leadership experience. She was appointed Chief Executive on April 1, 2019 after former roles as Director of Fixed Business and Customer Operations and Acting Director in charge of the Consumer Business.
Patricia’s commitment to female empowerment and Diversity & Inclusion are key definitions of her leadership outlook and strength. During her tenure as Technology Director, she led the setting up of the ‘Women in Technology’ platform, which focused on supporting Colleagues within the business and the Community through the mentoring of young ladies at the Ghana Street Girls Aid – an NGO that seeks to provide refuge and vocational training for young homeless girls. She was also instrumental in the setting up of the Female Engineering Students Sponsorship Programme (FESSP) by Vodafone Ghana to encourage and nurture young women to pursue careers in STEM related programmes. These interventions have resulted in over 50 females in the Technology function coming through the programme.
Patricia has won several awards including Best Female Technologist at the Ghana Telecom Awards in 2012, Distinguished Alumnus from the College of Engineering at KNUST 2017, Women in Red from Vodafone 2018 and recently Officer of the Presec – Odadee Torch 2019 for her outstanding contribution to her high school. She has an Electrical Engineering degree from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and an Executive MBA in Project Management from University of Ghana Business School.
